TEHRAN Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyed Ataollah Mohajerani has written a letter to Majlis Speaker Mahdi Karrubi, asking him to be allowed to address the Majlis deputies in a closed-door session.
In his letter, Mohajerani said that he intended to brief the deputies on the much-publicized and controversial issue of his resignation.
The minister also said that he wanted to give details about the huge amount of the public money that has been entrusted to his ministry for Minor Hajj pilgrimage.
It should be noted that the media have recently carried some reports on the misuse of the money that is at the disposal of the minister. It is not yet known how Karrubi has responded to Mohajerani's request.
